Katharina Klopfer

I am a German-born architect and photographer just returned to Dresden after a longer stay in Vancouver, BC. I studied architecture in Germany and Sweden, then practiced architecture in Stockholm, Berlin and Dresden. My architectural background helps me understanding the aesthetics of the built environment and to emphasize the architect's intension in a minimalistic way.

My interpretations of the architectural surroundings live from reduction, abstraction and the graphical pecularity of buildings. Despite my love for nature I am particularly attracted by urbanity and the diversity of cityscapes. I have a soft spot for analoge black and white photography and travel adventures.
